STORY OF NICK AND KEITH

Nick and I have been shooting weddings for two decades combined. Nick shot his first wedding in 2017 and I shot my first wedding in 2011. I actually shot my first wedding for the mayor of Seven Hills, OH on mini-DV video tapes right before digital card storage became a thing. It’s hard to believe how far technology has come since then. Since, we have been shooting weddings as a side hustle working independently and for other wedding companies while working other full time jobs in the media industry. At the beginning of 2024, we launched Blue Oak Wedding Productions deciding to make our passion of shooting weddings our full-time business. We can’t get enough of being part of these special moments. Some people have initial reservations when we tell them we are a new business but we are far from new at this. Here’s a little background about Nick. He graduated from Stony Brook with a bachelors degree studying film. He even worked as a film teacher for a while teaching the next generation of aspiring filmmakers. He has been working in film and tv for almost a decade also working full-time for News 12 New Jersey as a videographer and editor. That is where our paths crossed and our friendship blossomed. I also worked at News 12 New Jersey as a multimedia journalist. Recently, I have also done work for Netflix, NBC, and FOX News. Plus, I teach a camera training class for staff members at CBS News.

Before that, I worked as a multimedia journalist for Channel One News from 2013-2018, which was a daily news program broadcast across the country in schools. I traveled the world documenting  wars, natural disasters, and feature stories on almost every continent. If you are curious you can check out some of the content on my YouTube page.

Before that I worked for NBC in Wyoming and then a few years at a community tv station in Parma, Ohio. Needless to say I have been shooting video and photos for a long time. That’s is a little bit about us. We look forward to getting to know about you and hearing your story.
